Bad but still watchable

I rented Blind Fury to see an american take on the old Zatoichi movies which also included Omega Doom. Now I had seen this movie years ago but could barely remember it. I remeber absolutely hating it back then but after rewatching it I don't think it's too bad. In fact it's almost watchable. The two irish actors are decent anyways. The black guy tries too hard, and Rutger Hauwer looks like he's about to fall asleep the entire time but I find this movie is better than Blind Fury! The robot movement noises are also extremely poor but the movie is ok otherwise!

Oh, I also think it's strange that this movie is a remake of Yojimbo (someone before mentioned Last Man Standing, and Sergio Leone, Fist Full of Dollars) Yojimbo is the original! And Blind Fury is a remake of another amazing japanese series Zatoichi! Funny how they can contort such amazing stories into feces like this (yet still entertaining feces when severely hung over and about to pass out from a painful headache)

I loved this movie! I remember watchign i ta tleast 30 times on tv. I could go channel surfing, see it on, and I'd watch this movie, I really don't get where all the hate is comging from?

Maybe you guys need to watch some truelly horrible movies, to appricate the movies that actually arent that bad.

There's always people that like and people that hate a film.
Different tastes is all.

I liked what it offered and how the really unneccesary parts like special effects were kept to a minimum.

I think the most criticised part of the film is the 'slow fight scenes'. I just saw those long pauses as machines continually calculating lines of attack. My own computer does this when playing Chess and the like, so it seemed quite reasonable - Machines like this are supposed to be efficient. Blazing in like a super-warrior is too human.

Same for the 'unrealistic' acting. I've never met an android from the future, but I doubt they'd behave the same as a human.
