Overall really poor and disappointing film, really.

Not even good or decent by direct to video and made for TV often rather mediocre standards, and I've seen several as such that were actually better and at times even much better than this one, this overall really is a poor film only worth cheaply seeing once so as to say you've seen it and never really bother with again.

With glaring and obvious continuity errors (most notably the car changing its colour and even model among others), lack of suspense and often even any real common sense, a particularly poor and uninspired performance by the lead Tom Berenger and others being mediocre at the very best, poor writing and direction as well as a rather anti-climatic ending, An Occasional Hell has very little if anything worth recommending in it unless you're maybe also in need of a cure for insomnia.

3/10 and barely so, an occasional misfire would've been a more appropriate title.
