Good lord

I myself am a big guy and I love this movie. Why are all these people saying that this movie is terrible for making fun of fat people? You don't see gay people bashing Jack on Will & Grace, Carter on Spin City, or anyone from Queer Eye. So why are fat people bashing this movie? I thin keveryone needs to be able to laugh, and even at themselves sometimes. This movie was very sympathetic towards Professor Klump, and even if it looked like the filmmakers wanted to make fun of large people I think they did a great job at showing what a hard time people have with their weight.

I agree! Like when Buddy changes into Sherman at the party, he gives the message that it's what's inside that counts, NOT your weight. The same thing happened in Shallow Hal.

I'm deaf, and I'm not offended one bit by that one scene in Major Payne when Maj. Payne tells the deaf boy "I'm sorry, Mr. Handicapped Man. I did not mean to offend you. Do you understand sign language? Can you read lips? Well if you don't answer me when I speak to you, I'm gonna put my foot in your ass, is that clear dummy?" That is my favorite part of the movie and I laughed my ass off!
