Just saw the movie again. This is pretty decent. Judd is excellent

I first saw this around the time it premiered in 1996 on cable. Since then, I hadn't seen it until tonight. Ashley Judd was excellent in this. I forgot how much nudity there was also. Since then she hasn't done as good of work, imo. I liked her in Ruby in Paradise, this one, and Kiss the Girls. Otherwise, I don't care for her very much. And though Luke Perry isn't a top actor, he played his role very well. Just thought I'd express this. Thanks.

The world's a hell, what does it matter what happens in it?

Yeah it was on in the middle of the night where I live recently, I couldn't sleep so I watched it. It was a great film.

Ditto - it's superb & it's surprising how good Perry was!

This is a TOTALLY underrated classic. New Line dumped it because it was such an unrelenting downer. Fortunately you can get it on dvd now.

If you like this one, check out Lifebreath (also known as Last Breath) with Perry. It's another superdark thriller-drama about a hopelessly devoted husband, and how far he'll go to make things work.

After seeing both of these in the mid-late 90s, I was convinced Perry's career would distinguish itself with these dark little gems. I guess the lack of success for both movies washed that away. Oh, well.

i have seen this film a handful of times since its initial release, and i like it a lot, too. i think this is because of the direction, and its indie film feel. it was made back before independent film had really become major box-office (and thus, "mainstreamed"). and same here, every time i re-view it i'm surprised (again) at how much nudity (mainly ashley judd's) there is in it. again, the 'indie-effect.'
when i first saw it, i knew nothing about luke perry, and i take it he was a relative unknown (before "90210"); but i knew and admired ashley judd from "ruby in paradise," "the passion of darkly noon," and "heat." she has only gotten better (though, working with a lot inferior material) since those films, and this one.

The man/woman duo who wrote this were hooked into the personality dynamic too well - at least one of them must have lived it.

Saw it on Encore channel last night. Judd is smokin hot in this flick!

I saw part of it last night, or rather, early this morning. Would love to watch the entire movie. One of the funniest scenes was when he got home and she made herself dinner and gets pissed off and starts lecturing her about something serious. Then he says, so what do you think of that and her response was 'I think my dinner is getting cold'. too funny.

I just got done watching it. It's pretty decent. Luke Perry and Ashley Judd did a great job.

Thought it was a pretty decent story, and both leads were well above average... This film wouldnt have made ALOT of money, but it would have had its fair share in Indi houses...

I thought this film was quite good. Luke Perry and Ashley Judd were both excellent in their roles.

It was boring until the end, and I wanted to kill Ashley Judd immediately!
