Wrong Facts

I liked this movie, but I think that they could have been more severe in the facts of Monroe's life. Correct me if I'm wrong, but here are some mistakes that I found:

1) She was discovered by a photographer that was making a photo shoot in the factory she worked, she didn't attend to an audition like we see in the film.

2) The name Monroe wasn't picked randomly, it was her mother's or grandmother's single name.

3) She didn't die in the bedroom, everybody knows that she was found dead in her bedroom, lying in her bed and naked.

4) When we see her in the ambulance she is still alive, but when they found her she was already dead.

Any more mistakes?

It's been years since I've seen this movie. I watched a documentry several years ago about Marilyn and the suspicious facts surrounding her death. The ambulance driver(s) stated that when they arrived to Marilyn's house, she was still alive. They went on to say that Marilyn died in the ambulance and they were instructed to turn back and place Marilyn back in the room. Wether or not this is true, mabye this is one of the belief's portrayed in the movie??

Hmmm, I was about to agree with the OP about the facts being wrong, but your post reminded me of the controversy behind Monroe and her death, and I'm with you Rat...I think they were making a tiny implication with the way they chose to end the movie.

I suppose when you think about it, the writers of this movie DID go out their way to follow the controversial idea that Marilyn had an affair with JFK and that the group behind JFK and/or his assassination were also behind Marilyn's death. Granted, the movie didn't go into detail to really suggest that Marilyn was murdered rather than OD'd or suicidal, but this "small detail" in the movie actually makes a rather LARGE statement of an opinion on whether she was found dead, died in the ambulance and/or was put back in the bed and wehther there was a controversy behind it or not.

I know, plus she WASN'T abused sexually by her foster father nor was she physically abused by her foster parents either!

She WASN'T a s*ut and her doctor who commited her to the mental ward WASN'T a woman!

I believe you are right about all those errors to the best of my knowledge.

I for one was more shocked with her potrayal as some gold-digging whore who was careless, vindictive and cruel to every man (and woman) she was with

Just my opinion, I liked the film but just couldn't believe she was really like that
