Kevin Arnold meets D.J. Tanner

With their powers combined, they create a great film.

No but seriously, I think Fred and Candace should've made whoopee on this set.

Lol this movie is on right now, I had to look it up. I wasn't sure if that was Fred Savage or not but IMDB definitely proved me right :)

Honestly I have never allowed myself to be in the kind of situation this movie was portraying. One of my ex-boyfriends got in an argument with me and he slapped me across the face and guess what I did? BROKE UP WITH HIM ON THE SPOT! Well, I hit him back first. But I dumped his sorry ass right on the spot. I couldn't give two s***s whether he's way bigger then me and I'm like the tiniest girl in the world. He followed me all the way to my house like Fred Savage begging and pleading saying he was sorry, but I guess I have this mentality that a man won't change, it will only get worse. Plus there's like a million guys out there who will treat me like gold and not slap me for whatever reason it was back then.

What I'm trying to say is I could never quite understand how girl's get sucked in to an abusive relationship when they have the option to leave. I understand some are fearing their lives and are threatened. And some have nowhere else to go. But the whole "I don't deserve any better" mentality that sooo many girls have is ridiculous. You are NOT GOING TO CHANGE HIM! Whew, think I got it out of my system lol.

I agree with you 100%. I'll never understand women like that either! Its JUST A MAN! Not the end of the world! Sure it hurts to be treated badly by someone you love, and can hurt to walk away from them.
I know.....because I DID IT!
Granted, Stacy was only 16. We all did dumb things when we were young, but Stacy stretched the line of believability to me. She had to know he was abusing her, that it wasn't just 'jealousy' or 'caring' or 'love' like Bobby said it was.
These films floor me, as the women (and sometimes men) act like they've never heard of spouse abuse before! Or even WORSE.....they know nothing about the "Playbook" abusers seem to follow: hitting/insulting small at first, then weeping profusely and begging forgiveness, (a period where the abuser will often let the person go without danger ), the honeymoon period, escalating abuse, fewer apologies, possessiveness and telling what to wear/that you look/act/sound/dumb, followed by an apology MAYBE, then total control and few or no apologies.
Then sometimes a threat of harm if the person tries to leave/break up with them.

Stacy was way too emotionally needy, and not that aware if she thinks she was nothing like her mother.
And Bobby was even more insane to not realize he was just like his father! How did he figure he wasn't?

You hit the nail on the head! I was getting so mad at Stacy for the reasons you stated that I almost put my foot through my tv. But then Id be homeless because my parents would tell me to pack my bags and head for the homeless shelter

i randomly came across this movie and didn't even know what it was about but as soon as i saw the opening scene... i was like OMGGGGGG.... KEVIN arnold and DJ tannner! I knew i had to watch it based on that pairing alone. lol

Turned out that it was a great movie and i am a big fan of true crime shows. i am obsessed with the ID channel so i am now very interested in this case.

I'm a fan as well with true crime. Here's a link of the real story if you haven't read it already. What makes it more interesting for me is that it happened in my state. http://www.examiner.com/article/no-one-would-tell-true-story-movie-based-on-amy-carnevale-and-jamie-fuller (sorry I dont know how to link it)

What D.J. Tanner-Fuller from Full House and Fuller House and Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years have in common is this; After Full House ended in 1995 with Steve Hale taking D.J. to the prom and before Fuller House began in 2016, D.J. married someone else and had 3 sons with that someone else and after The Wonder Years ended with Winnie Cooper studying in Paris for 8 years, Kevin married someone else and had a son with that someone else.
