Fred Savage as a 'Bad Boy.'

This movie was totally unbelievable. Not only did they use Jewish actors to portray italians (I guess we all look alike,) but the acting was so bad that I actually laughed during a couple of the scenes. Am I going to hell? Most likely, but this was the cheesiest piece of sh*t that lifetime has ever aired. Every time Fred Savage became enraged that cheesy 80's music played while he pumped iron and pretended to be crazy. I wonder if the actors on "It's always sunny in philadelphia," ever make fun of him for starring in this movie. Sadly lifetime will keep playing it to stress the scariness of high school domestic abuse. You'd think that after he beat the sh*t out of her, she would have cut him loose.

I thought Fred Savage was quite convincing, actually. I was always a big fan of his, and was startled at how scary he was.
A couple scenes are cheesy agreed, such as the one where Stacy's mom goes to talk to Bobby in his room. The way Fred's eyes bug out psychotically was kind of funny.

But the main reason I thought Fred was good as cruel Bobby was because he was rather sweet & innocent looking. Evil often has an innocent face, and that way you never see it coming.

You'd think that after he beat the sh*t out of her, she would have cut him loose.

I'll never understand women (or men!) who tolerate abuse like that. Never.

You know, there are SO many different reasons why that is. Sometimes boy/girlfriends threaten their significant others with violence or even say they are going to kill them if they ever tried to leave them. Or they blackmail them into staying with them. There are many different reasons why, but probably the main reason why some people "tolerate" abuse, is simply because they are afraid. And that could be for many different things, either they're afraid that if they leave the relationship, the person that was abusing them will try to come after them, they are worried about getting killed, etc. You can't really judge a person and say they should have just got out of the relationship right away, I know it sounds easy, but it's really extremely hard. The only way you could know what it's like is to be in a relationship like that. I'm not saying go out and try it, because obviously NO ONE should ever experience anything like that. I'm just saying.

I also forgot to mention, that another reason why some people stay in abusive relationships like that is because they actually believe that they DESERVE to get abused, they think THEY are the ones that did something wrong, instead of the abuser doing anything wrong.

I agree with fiatlux. I thought he did a great job in this. The character was the complete opposite of Kevin Arnold.

I totally agree. I was laughing so hard through most of Fred's scenes. For some odd reason it made me think of some of his other brilliant roles, like when he shoots up heroin in his foot in 'the rules of attraction" or in Austin Powers 3 with that mole on his face..lmfao

As if his abuse didn't make him enough of an asshat, he wasn't even *smart* enough to wait until Stacy was FINISHED with his haircut to begin berating her!

So she storms out with half of his hair on his head, half on the floor.
