Genny's speech

Everyone seems to be commenting on all the dirty lines in the movie, but no one has commented on Genny's speech, so well delivered by Connie Ray, when she asks the presidents to get out of her car, explaining how their policies had affected her family's life. The speech was delivered quietly, but full of passion. One of the best scenes in the film.

I love that part. It shows both the government's and the "common man"s point of views. Great scene.

Probably the best part of the film. Without her speech, (which doubtless has more than a grain of truth in it) and without the great actors Jack Lemmon and James Garner, this movie would be completely unmemorable.

BRING OUT SEASON THREE OF "ONCE AND AGAIN" ON DVD!

Yeah, that's part of the niceness of the real americana i mentioned in my latest post about scenery, etc.

The makers didn't have to even get that serious. It's nice they did.

Best scene in the entire movie. Made me think how much better the film would have worked as a serious drama. Still, an awesome film.
