The end

Hey I fell asleep watching this boring movie but I still want to know what happens at the end. I saw up to the part where Teddy is covered in blood burning some girls clothes and is late to pick up his mother.

Basically He trys to kill another girl but she gets away but while he was trying to kill her, They were inside his grandmother's house and some candles fell over and set the house on fire and then his parents got to his grand mother's house but Teddy was heading up to the house when his parents got there. He told his mom that he started the fire that killed his brother and then he went in the house and died and then it shows his parents at his grave and thats the end

I didnt think it was boring....I really like it....Why did you think it was boring?

I agree that this movie was not boring...but where was the father its like he ran off somewhere.and why she did not try to stop her son from walking in the fire?

the father went to take care of the girl that teddy was trying to kill

I wondered why she didn't try too. I guess she realized if she did, he'd just turn and run in.
Plus, she knew what he did and maybe subconsciously she knew it was better for him to be dead now, rather than the death penalty he'd surely get.

I despised Teddy, and frankly the entire family was quite weird for most of the film! But I still felt a little bad for the mother at first, at the end.
But when she is gushing over his grave, I lost most of that sympathy.
If I found out my son did those things, especially the gruesome butchering of a girl just to keep a house, he wouldn't be my son anymore.

Yep I just lost 2 hours of my life that I will never get back - But I too wondered why Mom didn't run and grab her kid before he walked into the burning house. I did notice that she stood a bit away when she got to the scene like she was scared to get close to him - and her warnings were very much like Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka - stop, no come back but not really preventing anything. Over the grave she kept saying "I did my best" REALLLLLLY !!!

Dont forget the girl was the daughter of the people who wanted to buy the cottage

The girl that died near the end was the daughter of the people who wanted to buy the cottage. The girl that escaped Teddy at the end was his girlfriend.

She just discovered her son was an insane serial killer, even I would be very wary to get near him!
As I mentioned before, she likely subconsciously thought he was either better off dead (he would get a lethal injection for what he did) or she let him make his own 'choice' to die.
When she says "I did my best." she meant she did her best in raising him.
But even that doesn't seem all that true. That whole family was rather dysfunctional & the mom was cold. Teddy made his own insane choices, but the family was still quite 'off' themselves.

How could she have stopped her son from walking into the fire? He was several feet in front of her and if she had started running he likely would have just ran into the fire.

I agree with you. Painfully boring and unintelligent drivel.

The sappy music (intended to manipulate people into crying) and stupid 'speech' of the mother while she was sitting near his grave at the end was OTT and a fitting ending to this crap.

Embarrassing for the resume of Mr Galecki who I think was wasted in this.
