Ellen!
Ellen absolutely makes this movie. If it wasn't for her, I'd say it was awful.....but what do I know? I just think she's the most hilarious person in the world.

sharei have to disagree...only good thing about this movie is joan cusack (one of the funniest female actors ever!) the only reason i kept watching, rather than turning it off, was to see her scenes...i tuned out when she wasn't on screen
shareI further disagree: I think that Bill Pullman makes this movie. But of course he makes any movie that he is in. One of the worlds most underrated actors. Its funny that we all have completely differing opinions on this movie. I personally loved it and continue to defend it to all the people that hate it to this day
shareI agree that Pullman and Ellen make the film.
Joan is a waste of cinema.

I agree with you riverthead808. Without Bill, this movie is nothing.

I agree. Ellen rocks. She's the coolest person in the world.
shareI really liked all of the principal performers; Ellen, Bill, and Joan. They were all great!

This is extremely fascinating that the above post made it through the screeners.
But to respond to what will probably ultimately be a short-lived post, I think Ellen chose this movie because it's more about the dude being a stalker than it is about her falling in love. Ellen avoided roles that had her do the traditional dating scene as much as possible until she "came out."

goooooo ellen!!!
shareI actually like this movie now after the fact when Ellen came out. It's kind of like watching Rock Hudson in a Doris Day movie. I loved Joan Cusack too. There should have been a bigger part for Ellen Cleghorne. I loved her on SNL!
shareI love Ellen and i loved her in this movie. I love this movie. It's like a guily pleasure or something, but i think it's hilarious. Bill Pullman did sooo well in this flick too! I love "Mr. Wrong" because it's sooo dorky, that it makes me laugh.
