I saw this movie once when I was about 10, and I remember it being the worst movie I'd ever seen. I still hold it in comparison when thinking of how awful a movie is. I just remember it not being funny at all and just being plain weird and annoying. Correct me if I'm wrong but I personally have no desire to watch this movie again.

I am here to correct you. You are wrong. You have a big personal desire to see this movie again. That is all.

reply

You know, you're right! Hehe, just kidding, oh well!

That was stupid.

That's exactly what happened to me! I saw it when I was like 10 or 11 and I HATED it. I think it was on T.V. or something and for some reason I watched the entire thing. I never want to see it again either.

which totally explains why you went out of your way to navigate to this website, to this movie, logged in, and posted about it. yeah. ok.

reply

Is it even worth taking seriously when a 10-year-old denounces a PG-13 movie?

reply

Well I watched it with my mom who also thought it was dumb. I can't speak for myself since it has been about 10 years since I've seen it. But all I was saying was that that first experience was enough.

reply

ditto.

This is the funniest movie ever made

reply

You're Mr Right, Felix Long.

reply

rhymes with 'Wrong', lol.

It was uncomfortable to watch, keeping in mind people choose to live with weird folks like these. It's comedy at its crueler moments.

reply

The OP is a nitwited child for watching this PG-13 movie when he/she was TEN!!!
This movie is freaking hilarious. Every part was perfectly directed to the funniest intentions. I watch this movie whenver I find it playing on tv. It's a classic.

reply

I agree with you.I love the movie!!!! I watch it every chance I see it.

reply

Well, I was 14 or 15 when I saw it, but I too found it to be the worst movie ever, and I too still compare it to other horrible movies. Like I may say, "Yes, Gigli was bad, but it was no Mr Wrong!"

reply

AI was far worse!

reply

It wasn't the worst movie ever made but it was pretty bad. By the way I got here after looking info on Bill Pullman and remembered he was in that horrible train wreck of a movie with Ellen Degeneris. I decided to see what rating the movie got. The rating is accurate. I remember that there were some scenes that seemed like they could have been funny but there was something wrong with the way they were done.

i didn't read all the rests of the posts yet, but i just said the same thing on another unrelated board. if this movie came out in '96, i was 12, and i remember talking about how horrible it was.

i just wonder, if i saw it again, some of the humor would be better. i don't think i'm willing to figure it out.

i think Ellen makes fun of it now, so it's probably pretty bad.

The subject of this movie is geared to grown up people. Specifically women 25 and older.

So it's not surprising that a person aged 10-15 would not enjoy it. Contrary to what you may hear, not every movie on the planet is geared to people under 20 years old.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

reply

Exactly. The movie will only be funny to people about 20 or older. I guess it's because Witman acts like a 13 or 14 year old, so the 13 or 14 year olds that watch it, identify with him too much and that takes the comedy out of it. I crack up every time I see it.

reply

I've laughed out loud a good 4 or 5 times watching this. I don't think children are generally capable of appreciating dark comedies. Bill Pullman was hilarious.

Actually, I think if the original commenter was only 10 when they decided this movie was awful, then they can be commended for being an unusually insightful 10-year-old. Cause this movie sucks balls. No matter how old you are.
