The part that ticked me off the most

The part where they had just arrived in Washington DC and were looking for a place to stay and that one woman wouldn't allow Mildred, that was wrong. But the part that really ticked me off was when she was about to have her baby and that one hospital wouldn't take her. That was not right at all. She could've been dying or bleeding to death and that arrogant woman and that place they called a hospital still would not have taken her. Richard and Mildred were very lucky that they got to that other hospital that in time and didn't get lost because by that time, she was screaming in pain and bleeding. I'm am so glad that things are different now and black people have more rights. But I would have to say that Richard really stood his ground against people who were prejudice against their marriage. There was that scene in the hospital when he was filling out those forms and all those black people were staring at him. He gave them a dirty, determined look. A look like, what are you looking at. Yeah, I'm married to a black woman. Who cares. I love her and we should have the right to be together without prejudice. Then there was the scene again where that woman wouldn't take them into her apartment because he was married to a black woman. Richard gave her a dirty look of disgust.
