According to Lifetime... it is a 'cult classic'

Well the movie is infamous. It has a such a silly title and the acting is just so terrible. It's a fun movie to watch with friends while you yell at the tv because all the characters act so dumb
shareI agree.
share"Coed Call Girl" is another great one starring Tori.

Oh my God! That movie was just so cheese-tastic. Mother, May I Sleep with Danger, Co-ed Call Girl and A Friend to Die For are like the trifecta of bad movies that are fun to watch with friends.
They are all so wonderfully bad and so much fun to make fun of.

Have to throw in a couple Shannon Doherty movies... "Friends 'Till The End" and "Obsessed". Both so fun to watch with alcohol, friends, and some chips-n-dip! Love 'em!
RIP Michael Jackson
Plus Satan's School for Girls. They are all fun movie night movies with the girls. They are so bad, that they're actually good!
shareBut unlike Tori, Shannon can act.
shareIt is!
I'm glad Obama won, but I will not jump on the Pro-Choice bandwagon
I admit this film is a guilty pleasure of mine. I hated the ending, but the rest was OK.
To be honest, a big reason I think this film IS a cult classic is because of all the beautiful, taut bodies in it. No, I am not kidding.
No matter what people think of Tori's face (I think its pretty, especially here but many don't), her body was near perfect.
Ivan Sergei was nothing to sneeze at either, nor were any of the characters really.
I think that has a lot to do with its popularity.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
I still am fonder of "She's Too Young."
"Guess what, guys? I have syphilis!"
Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!
The acting is over-the-top for the most part, the title is laughably bad, and I have a hard time taking Tori Spelling seriously pretty much anytime. I don't think she's ugly, but it's obvious she got work because of her father's status in the industry.
Ivan Sergei is very handsome and has been a favorite of mine for while, even though he overdoes it in the psycho scenes. He's really the best thing about this movie, along with Lochlyn Munro (who is onscreen all too briefly).
But yeah, it's fun to watch for most of the reason I listed - that's what "camp" is all about! Actually, it fits more into "camp classic" than "cult classic" - cult classics tend to be movies that were underappreciated for years, and I don't think this is one of them. It's just so bad it's funny, which is enjoyable on another level.
