I was surprised it was made.
While watching it I was thinking for example "Ok this jelly scene is about to get crazy because they can't just have discussions like this in a film, someone's going to have an allergic reaction or atleast drop it!" But they did, they had realistic discussions and everything felt like something he went through with his mother, that we go through with our mothers. It took the time to have conversations with endings and resolutions. Movies just don't do that anymore. Everything is set up for some outrageous punchline.
