I saw this fascinating film several years ago at the new directors film festival in manhattan. I was mesmerized by it. I don't believe it ever had a proper release in the U.S. I'm dying to see it again. Does anyone know how I can obtain a copy of Moeibus on video or DVD?
Yeah I'd like to get it too, I've not yet seen it but once saw the trailer in a cinema here, but didn't get to watch it while they played it (which I think was way too short...). Well anyways if you know where to get it let me know!!

I'm in South America and I haven't been able to get it either. I think it is only available in Argentina. It wouldn't hurt to call your local argentinian embassy and ask.
well it was not easy and i had to search far and wide but i found it and own in on dvd in widescreen and fullscreen, there are no extras but its an incredibe film, but it does not have english subtitles
Yeah, it's available on DVD in Italy. Spanish audio, optional Italian subtitles. Pretty good picture quality. There is also an English subtitled screener/bootleg floating around that was obviously sourced from a VHS tape. Somebody should combine the picture quality of the DVD with the English subtitles from the bootleg. It'd be even better if someone would get a clue and release the film in the US or UK already. It's been 10 years.
Poor, typical of fansubs though. The translation is understandable; I'm going to guess they were done by a native Spanish speaker, or someone with poor English grammar armed with an online translator. The sync, however, is off on several lines of dialogue. Every once in a while a whole line will be completely ignored. It's really sloppy.
I consider it an amazing piece of work as I read the (unattributed) original work "A Subway Named Moebius" by A. J. Deutsch from his 1950 short story (which took place in Boston). The fact the film makers were able to work in not only and intriguing sci-fi film where the only SFX is at the very beginning and very end AND a political statement on the unknown thousands of "The Disappeared" victims from the 1975 - 1983 military junta as well as commentary within the film on (unnamed) quantum physics is masterful.
