Possible Mission: to not see another M:I movie!

I loved the TV series when I was a kid and had high hopes for the movie. Everything was going okay when the ending happened! There is no way, no how, that that ending is plausible! It just would not happen! I vowed to never see another Mission Impossible and have held true to that vow. No matter how great the next M:I movie may look, I will always remember the betrayal of the first movie.

Are you talking about the implausibility of the helicopter in the Chunnel, or are you referring to The Betrayal (the one with a capital B)?

It is too bad, because the films really do get better as they go. I do like this one a lot, in spite of what they did with the Phelps character. I think if they wanted to do a big twist, they should have gotten Steven Hill to reprise the role and be the traitor.
