Fart scene?

I saw this movie a couple of days ago. There is a scene where Streisand and Jeff Bridges are talking on the phone. All of a sudden, you hear a fart noise from Barbara Streisand and she starts laughing. Then the scene ends. I wasn't sure if it was bad audio in the movie or if they intended to show that Barbara Streisand had farted and she was not ashamed that Jeff Bridges heard it. Did anyone else see this scene? Was it a fart or just bad audio (and Barbara Streisand just said something funny and that is why they were both laughing?)

reply

It's not a fart scene. He wakes her up from her sleep by calling her. Then he says he wants to find out "how you are" tonight. In her tiredness, she replies "I'm fine, how you are?" and cracks up at her own half-asleep comment.

I think when she says the line she snorts or something so that is the sound you probobly heard.

Yeah She laughs out her nose at that part. It is kind of an outward snort.

There is no need to be nasty! I had just seen the movie and didn't understand what that noise was. I thought it sounded like a fart and I thought it was odd, which is why I asked on the message board what the noise was. I got my answer after the first post! Jeez Lady, I don't understand people like you! I was just trying to find some information!

Well, I WASN'T joking! I really didn't understand what the noise was in the movie which is why I asked on the message board. Also, Streisand has been in those "types" of movies before. She did a movie called "The Owl and the Pussycat" which had A LOT of crude humor in it. Next time, please don't be so quick to judge someone else's posts. It was obvious from my tone in the original message that I really wanted an answer to my question and wasn't trying to be funny. The whole point of these message boards is to answer questions about scenes in movies.

Sarcasm really doesn't benefit anyone on this board. It was obvious that I was being sincere because I pointed out a specific scene in her movie. Obviously if I watched the movie and can point to a specific scene, would I be trying to make a joke? The answer is no. If we make fun of other people's posts, people will not want to discuss films here. Please, try and be more respectful to other people's questions! There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers! But I do accept your truce.

When in the park scene Barbara and Jeff met Barry, the guy she kept cancelling on, and his fiancée, I thought they looked like twins! Same face same glasses... So funny!
