Hi
I think what of things make this a very good movie is how fractured MC is portrayed. His doubts, how at first he wanted to fight and then he is transformed in a politician dealing with Realpolitik. In real life, was he like that? He looked also as a man with you'd love to drink a beer.

I thought Liam Neeson, as we've almost come to expect from him, was very good in the title role and yes, the Michael Collins that we see, does appear to be the sort of guy with whom you'd enjoy sharing a drink.
