Hello, I would like to ask whether or not this movie was popular in its time, back in 1996. It features John Travolta but I don't know how much of a sign of popularity it is for a movie of nineteen years ago.
Also, I don't think it is very popular today, but correct me if I am wrong.

Nah, it wasn't very popular. Out of all my family, friends, and co-workers, I am the only one who brings up this movie. As of this post it has a 5.6 rating. It's a shame because I thought it was a fun and touching movie. 7/10

+ $49, 000, 000 in Rentals, but it doesn't say when they stopped counting. Probably video, not dvd.

Not Titanic money, but not shabby. 1997 dollars.
How much did it cost to make? That's not here.
If it cost 150 million to make, I don't think execs were happy, but it's a small film.
So it seems folks went to see it, or rented.
My family enjoyed Michael. Got the video. The CD has been "in rotation" in wife's car on & off since 2000ish.
Recommended it at pt. time video job. No complaints.
It's a nice little movie, good songs, love story. See it with a date.
