Original ending probably would have been better

In the original version, as the William Hurt and Andie MacDowell characters walk off together, we were supposed to see Pansy (Jean Stapleton) in an alley, standing up against a wall, as Michael bangs the bejesus out of her. However, Jean Stapleton kept screwing up and shouting, "Ohhhhh, ARCHIE!" The director finally decided, the heck with it, and went with a different ending.
