This Movie Makes You Think

This was really an excellent film. It is clear that the Marquis de Sade was ahead of his time and thus misunderstood by his peers, but such is often the price of precocious genius.

This film should be required viewing for high school and/or college students as the importance of the Marquis de Sade toward an understanding of modern sexuality cannot be understated.

I didn't think the movie was excellent. It's okay, but not very engaging. Some nice women to look at. And the actress playing Justine was decent enough. The actress playing Juliette was pretty, but didn't seem very good. Having seen movies inspired by Sade and movies about Sade, I think the movies inspired by his works make for better films than the ones that try to actually be about him.
