This movie is fabulous!

I loved Manny and Lo. I thought that Scarlett Johansson was incredibly talented and it was so impressive that she could be so wonderful at age 12. Aleksa Palladino was also great, and the movie itself was really interesting.

Yep, I just love whimsical little stories like this. So odd. So delightful. Scarlett Johansson completely stole my heart with the character she so skillfully created.

It's kinda sad that little films like this go completely unheard of. It is definitely a lost classic. Good thing Scar J. is a famous celebrity now.

It's always the virtually unknown "sleeper" films that are truly the most amazing. It's a shame this movie isn't more appreciated.

I loved this movie the first time I saw it. It gave me so much more appreciation for May Kay Place, and her lack of recognition. The whole thing is a gem for sentimentalists like me. I just love when Mary Kay konks takes her own captive. And who knew Scarlett would survive the precocity!

One of my all time faves.

SJ was 11 even (considering she was born in late '84), and totally adorable! That's weird when that happens, when you know her as an adult actress (with an amazing build) then find this old movie and she's all tiny. Same kind of thing happened for me with Diane Lane in A Little Romance.

I loved it...very unique.
Scarlett was so lovable.

for me it has been the opposite. I saw this at the theatre and have since followed her movies, however I think this is still my fav.Without the melodramitic ending this could have been in my all time top 25

reply

How could you consider the ending melodramatic? The baby is born and they drive away. Nothing melodramatic happens!

It's charming in a way.
