I know I am anal about details, but

These types of things happen in editing to save time and money. I just noticed that when they were to kiss on the beach, the first shot of it,Chase had her head towards the LEFT. Directly following that, she was kissing her from the RIGHT. It looked as though it should have been a contiguous shot, however, maybe some kissing was edited out to spare the dime. Just wondering if anyone else noticed these little details and how many kisses we missed? LOL

I wanted to add one small comment concerning Ms. Mirren choosing to make this film. I don't think she has always made the most wise of choices in her roles, but for the most part, overall, not too shabby. In saying that, I have NEVER seen a poor performance on her part, even if the film was crap. She always raises the bar for whomever has the pleasure and priviledge to work with her. Of course I loved her in the HBO movie of EI,(who didn't). Absolutely loved her as EII in The Queen.(who didn't),however, I and many of my friends would love to see her in simple, funny flicks. The three skits she did on French and Saunders were brilliant. She has the timing for comedy, however, she must want to do it.

I understand I got off topic, but my point is, I am so glad she did this little movie. It was ostensibly simple, yet very complicated psychologically. The depth of character that this story pursued was very profound and unlike most movies we see today. I applaud her for agreeing to do this small budget creation, and putting everything she had as an actor, into it. Obviously, it was not about the $$$. Kudos to Kevin and Kyra for making it.(btw, Kyra was awesome)

The small stuff is what matters to people, and is the most memorable.

At least we know they kissed not only once, and that's not counting the rehearsals ;)

what bothers me most about that scene is that Chase says something to Elizabeth - if you watch Chase throughout you see her mouth moving just after the kiss and Elizabeth says "i can't" and runs away. I've wondered from the first time I watched this film what she says and why it was scrubbed out in post production.
regarding the kissing from the left and the right that's just bad continuity on different takes.

i've watched this a million times and only on my last viewing did I notice the disappearing bottle of coke when Elizabeth is at the yacht club bar. oops!
