I wanted to add one small comment concerning Ms. Mirren choosing to make this film. I don't think she has always made the most wise of choices in her roles, but for the most part, overall, not too shabby. In saying that, I have NEVER seen a poor performance on her part, even if the film was crap. She always raises the bar for whomever has the pleasure and priviledge to work with her. Of course I loved her in the HBO movie of EI,(who didn't). Absolutely loved her as EII in The Queen.(who didn't),however, I and many of my friends would love to see her in simple, funny flicks. The three skits she did on French and Saunders were brilliant. She has the timing for comedy, however, she must want to do it.
I understand I got off topic, but my point is, I am so glad she did this little movie. It was ostensibly simple, yet very complicated psychologically. The depth of character that this story pursued was very profound and unlike most movies we see today. I applaud her for agreeing to do this small budget creation, and putting everything she had as an actor, into it. Obviously, it was not about the $$$. Kudos to Kevin and Kyra for making it.(btw, Kyra was awesome)
The small stuff is what matters to people, and is the most memorable.
