High praise in my opinion. Overall I'd take this movie over "No Country For Old Men". They are vastly different films, but both modern westerns for the most part.

That was definitely a great year in cinema. Looking over their lists, there are three or four that I consider truly superb.

Kenneth Braunugh (sorry about the spelling) version of Hamlet was garbage.

The English Patient... Elaine Benes was right " that movie stunk!" Otherwise, this was a very good year in movies.

Lone Star was definitely one of the best movies that came out that year imo. I also really liked Fargo, Sling Blade, Hard Eight, From Dusk til Dawn, Independance Day, Jerry Maguire, Kingpin, The Rock, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Raven

Scream, Trainspotting, Primal Fear, People vs Larry Flynt, A Time To Kill, Sleepers
