usa is great with these late night comedy talk-shows, i'm telling you, we're spoiled. "late show", "tonight show" and "late night". my country doesn't have anything like this. well, it happens, but i guess it's usually a pale, season running, show with nothing to meet the standard,
while cats who actaully are hilarious seems to be in the shadows of these many people who really don't appear to belong in the entertainment business, there used to be alote better entertainers on tv i think, "think..".. he, heck, if my senses work properly and the blood still is reaching my brain i'm sure of it. today there might be alote of selfcentered so called, excuse the expression, but it's a known description, "attention ho`s", who i find doesn't come off as naturally funny, and can't seem to be.
maybe it's other things playing in it too, sometimes i wonder what's wrong when a physical move gets more laugh than a funny spoken joke. i also don't understand why there is hysteria over a big star guesting a show instead of a comedian, i mean, i'd rather listen to jokes than a made-up-story-for-showbusiness by brad pitt.
my country hasn't been airing these usa talk-shows since forever either (i don't think), well, letterman was on when i was a kid. but i remember when Leno first came on, it was around 1999, i didn't start watching it at first, but i got into it becouse rodney dangerfield guested the show. i have no idea how and when i started watching conan. i used to watch that on weekends on cnbc. that show didn't come to my country untill a few years ago.
i think when leno leaves in 2009 (maybe you read this post in 2010, (i think that was the first time i wrote 2010. try to write "2010") leno will alredy be gone then. (if the boards and imdb.com still are available in 2010), i think when leno leaves in 2009) there's going to be a big decrease in comedy-talk-shows,
becouse leno is funny in his way, and when leno leaves, that means conan moves over to the tonight show.. wich means.. someone has to replace consy! (on "late night")
i mean, right now "late night with conan o'brien" is like the funniest show to watch on television, and it's impossible to replace conan, he's like the funniest man of his generation, so can you imagen what a loss to american talkshows when this switch happens in 09?.
who can take "late night's" spot? jim carrey is fun, but a famous actor, artie lang and others are funny guys as guests, but they wouldn't fit to host the show i think. it should be someone with versatality as conan, who is naturally funny but can also be serious and got credibility. consy is like inreplacable. a goldpiece in a field of stones. also, i don't want it to be any sarcastic person. (many of those kind on tv these days. seems like thats what this generation is all about.)
i hope the actors of "late night" hangs on to "tonight show" (the guy who plays 1930 ghost singer and so on. i guess the creepy announcer joel won't happen since he's around 60-70 years old. i would like that though.)
i guess gottfried, fredricks and the guys will be gone with leno. maybe conan brings old bessylou and that funny cup to the "tonight show".
i also want to tell you something interesting and funny, in my country, these shows arent called "late night" and stuff, their titled after the hosts name "jay leno show" for example, and when the shows changes hosts!!! get it? get it? in usa, jay and conan are on after each other and they are on the same channel, but in my country, these guys are on two entirely diffrent channels. so the change will be extra fascinating here. couse of the show titles, the channels and so.
my dream host for these comedy talk-shows would be rodney dangerfield, but i guess that enqiures a timemachine, (in "meet wally sparks", he does hosts his own talk-show!)
finding the right "late night" host seem tricky, i wouldn't complain if a woman host late night though.
but what i think will happen is this= "late night", wich is now like the most entertaining show on television, will turn.. mediocre. i'll be so dissapointed i can't stand to watch the show anymore.
but late night aside for a few minutes, what's gonna happen to jay now? i find his stand-up-comedy really funny, i think i'm going to miss that, how about that he wrote the entire monolouge himself when the writers were on strike. all other shows had to figure out something else to do, b.t.w, i liked some of the guests they had when there was a strike. it looks like letterman's show will go on as usual. funny, letterman is the oldest one, have had talkshows for the longest, didn't get "the tonight show", and looks like he's gonna to run past leno.
what if letterman had taken over "the tonight show" when leno stepped down? that would've been something. jay mentioned something like nbc didn't want to risk losing conan so they signed him early to "the tonight show".
that's my take on it, i presume.
i wanna thank all my guests and the max weinberg 7, goodnight and see you tommorrow night.

thin air,
the past, it just dissappeared,
i had to be reminded of the past,
it had slipped out my head, just like that,
is this how things go,
as time travels on,
everything dissappear?
to thin air,
when you and i are gone,
where will the past belong,
will it just dissappear,
into thin air.
