Poor rating and cant help but feel that this is what this movie is.....
Stone overacts in it as well (to my liking anyways)
The movie has its flaws (timing, like many people say), but for me it's by far better (7.5/10) than "the original". If there is something over the top in a tedious kind of way, for me this is Dead Man Walking (5.0/10).

Exactly....Released few months i think after dead man walking, but it's a horrible movie...boring slow and useless.... DMW is my favourite...astonishing Sean Penn performance.....amazing !!!!( do not forget susan sarandon )

I agree it had poor character development, Rob Morrow's performance was less than pleasing, and Sharon Stone could have been better. Had Rob Morrow's character been played by someone else like Chris O'Donnell and had the southern accent not been in the film it may have been better. I'm just thankful Cindy wasn't played by Jennifer Jason Leigh...her acting is over the top at times, especially her portrayal of Carla Faye Tucker.
