After 19 years after the filming of this movie, I couldn't help but wonder if Tai (Vera), was still alive. Did a quick search and here she is:

Her face has gotten more pink due to her age, but she's still so so so so precious and cute :D

Those people filming were so lucky to see her. I wish I could pet her. Turns out she was the elephant in "Water with the elephants" as well.

That video is gone but just do a search for Tai the elephant on YouTube and you'll find her.

She is an Elephant Ambassador.

Just checked and Tai will be 46 this year.
