I'm not surprised that I'm the first one to say anything about this film

And I won't disappoint expectations either, this is a very bad film. However time and distance plus the recent rise of such shameful cinematic abortions as House of the Dead and seemingly everything out of the Dark Castle camp have served to soften my opinion a little bit.

It's a typical Jess Franco film in that it has a very rushed feeling which is strangely at odds with its almost comatose pacing. By the time the final act wraps up you come to the realization that nothing ever really happened. But when all is said and done it did have its moments and was not totally irredeemable. But please people, don't just take my word for it. I'm admittedly biased. Not least of which for the fact that I have a weakness for "bands in peril" films and because you get to see Silvia Superstar, The Killer Barbies (the band the film is somewhat named after) lead singer stark naked. Seriously, rent it or something. You owe it to yourself to get a second opinion.

I have to admit, I'm about halfway through (stopped it to come to work) & its a pretty painful sit through so far...although I 10000% agree that Silvia Superstar is SUPER HOT!

Silvia Superstar - what a name! You'd expect that to be a character name (particularly in a movie about a band), but that's the actress name is pretty funny. Yes, her birth name was Silvia García Pintos, so she gave herself the last name Superstar. That's confidence!
