WTF? I loved this movie when I was a kid.

I fell in love with this movie when I was a kid. Know I think it's the crap. It could have done without the rapping.

"I love colors that blind me when i'm in the dark."

My only response to that is for you to just take a look at the "memorable quotes" section on this page. Two of the best quotes that came out of this movie include:

"Grab my belly and make a wish."
and
"You smell like hippopotamus butt."

That should pretty much sum up this movie.

"then I want junk food...from HERE...to the SKYYYYY!!"
"higher than high?"
"I AM KAZAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"

reply

"In our hearts, we are jin, and we are...freeee...."

"my name is max...I got all the facts...I'm makin' big tracks on my huffy bmx!"

"In our hearts, we are jin, and we are...freeee...."

LMAO. That part made me laugh.

I don't think so, Tim.

then you've got your food from here to the sky!

reply

NAW IT COULDNT! RAPPING IS WHAT MADE KAZAAM THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME AS OPPOSED TO A BAD MOVIE.

reply

Yeah, I too remember loving this as a kid. Mostly I thought about what was better than a mountain of food to wish for.....

reply

I remember seeing it as a kid and thinking it was funny

I friggin' love this movie! sure, it's kind of...lame and cliche, but thats how I remember the 90's! (Pyche! lAter.) (This coming from the person with "Encino Man" in their DVD collection.) It's kind of fun to watch it every once in a while.

I took my son to see this movie when he was 10, and I remember thinking that I wanted to sue Paul Michael Glaser for stealing two hours of my life. I remember experiencing actual physical pain as I sat in that dark theater in dismay, wondering how someone I had adored as a teen in Starsky and Hutch could be associated with such a train wreck of a movie. The only good thing to come out of this dismal piece of work was Shaq's realization that acting (and rapping) should be left to the professionals.

reply

jrangers, someday you will come to the realization that this film changed your life for the better. In fact, everyone who viewed it was blessed by the big aristotle himself, Shaq. Amen.

i remember liking this movie when i was kid. I think the vhs is still somewhere around here....

i was going to post this exact thread.
i remember liking it as a kid too.

i loved this movie too. and its sad that most 90's kids movies that are rated pg or g are in the bottom 100. some of those movies are actually good and i thought kazaam was actually better than steel, which was shaq's worst movie ever.

reply

haha i didnt think it was possible for shaq to do worse acting than Kazaam

reply

I was about 14 when I saw it, but I thought it was funny too 

I don't think so, Tim.

reply

OMG, I totally agree with you. I thought this movie was the bomb when i first saw it. But then again, i wans't much of a movie critic when then.

reply

I love "when then"

reply

Hmmm when i was 6 years old i thought this was great...looking back i know its a pile of steaming *beep* but still.....

I was 9 when this movie came out and I was a big Shaq fan (wow do things change). I went and saw this and didn't like it for two reasons: one, Shaq had recently left the Orlando Magic to play for The Lakers, and two, the kid in this movie seemed way too tough and streetwise for me to relate to. I guess that's why I preferred Home Alone. That was a kid I could get behind.

What's the spanish for drunken bum?

I liked this movie alot as a kid as well. Of course, I would've had no idea of what made a good movie back then, but it was enjoyable enough.

reply

this is so true, i loved this movie as a kid...i'm sure i watched it like a hundred times, i can't believe how bad it is now lol
