He wanted to film this in LOUISVILLE!!!!

The He in this thread I'm referring to,is,of course, director Robert Altman. Why this gets me is because A)he's actually FROM KC and B)it wasn't like the KC area wasn't receptive to the filming of his movie in their fair city. He originally wanted to film the movie in Louiville,Kentucky and had to be practically begged him to film it in the actual Kansas City itself. It begs the question:why was Louisville more attractive to Altman? And what,if anything, did he have against filming a movie in the town it is eponymous with?

KAnsas City(MIssouri and KAnsas)are beautiful towns that deserve to have more movies and tv shows set. The same could be said for much of Kansas and Missouri themselves. I wish more producers, writers and film scouts would realize this!

Peace.

Hell yeah. Film more movies in KC, Mo and KS. I have seen plenty of things about Kansas City on TV such as Malcolm and Eddie but I don't think that show was taped in the actual Kansas City and of this movie and Eddie Griffin's Stand Up Comedy movie Dysfunktional Family was taped in KC too. Just look at him and Don Cheadle. Hell he was just nominated for an Oscar. KC 4 Life!!!!

Ha, I'm from KC, but I live in Atlanta, and I've lived in LA and New York, and I have to say Kansas City was the best place I've ever lived in

Are you serious? I like, live and was born in KC and all but LA, NY, ATL are far more superior and larger cities and there's more to do in them too. But if you like big city living with the small town feel I see why you liked living in KC better.

That's the thing though. KC has everything you need without the feeling of being overwhelmed really. Don't get me wrong though, ATL, NYC, LA are all amazing cities too.

That's what I say. That's why I love KC. Though other cities are good too.
