A message from the producer...

Disclaimer! For those of you in the States, looking at this, please note that the Miramax version of Hugo the Movie Star is a butchered version made in the late 90s, with removal of opening credits, a completely new low-budget soundtrack made without any relation to us in Denmark, and cuts in the film that we had no hand in. Yes, the original English version was British, and not American, obviously our mistake. But the version that is available on DVD now, with the likewise butchered first film 'Jungledyret Hugo' (now called Go Hugo Go) as bonus material, is far from the film we made back in 1997. So when you rate the film, please be aware of this! We do not hold this against BVHE, as they just issued the material they have bought the rights to through aquisition of Miramax, but we do wish to tell you, the discerning audience, that it is NOT the film as we made it. It is available in Danish and other languages in PAL in Europe, complete and intact.

I watched the Danish version and despite not understanding a word, I really enjoyed it. It was a charming children's film with cute animation.
