Breathtaking!

This film literally took my breath away at the end. I had to sit there and do the whole "Ok, can't breathe" deal.

Jude is a film in every sense of the word. It is a work of art with so much texture and deep character, one can't help but think about it and its meanings long after its end credits. I haven't read Hardy, but the power this film exudes and its characters will not leave my mind for a while. This is a film, not a movie, so comparing it to the likes of Titanic and any other "movie" is just not right. Jude is far beyond the Oscars or Titanic, so the fact that it didn't get oscars doesn't bother me. Proof being that Titanic got tons of Oscars and it's the most shallow movie I can ever remember seeing. It has the depth of a Harlequin Romance, hardly on the same level as Hardy's story of Jude.

You need all of your five, six, or however many senses in order to appreciate this fine film that is an absolute work of art.
