watch it with headphones on!!

The sound engineering in Jude is fantastic. It is a feast for the ears. The sounds of the clanging screaching trains are almost horrific. The clinking of chisel on stone, rain on widows, birds, the breeze, footsteps...All the little nuances come to full realization, and create a sensual experience. I highly recommend watching it with headphones. Not to mention the emotive but modest score, which is now easily one of my favorites.
