Remember an earlier one about an asteroid??

Does anyone remember a show that was similar to the "Journey to Mars" theme in that it was done like a live tv broadcast with news clips and everything except it dealt with asteroids hitting the earth. It ended up that these asteroids were being sent by aliens attempting contact with earth. It had a final scene of all these guys looking at a screen with hundreds of asteroids coming towards earth. Please tell me someone else has seen this.

Hey,
I know the one you're talking about. It's called "Without Warning". The news anchors are Sander Vanocur and Jane Kaczmarek(the mom from Malcolm In the Midddle!). I picked it up for $5 on DVD at a flea market but Amazon has it pretty cheap. It's a pretty decent production, up there with "Special Bulletin".
My collection of fake-newscast dramas will be complete when I can find "Countdown to Looking Glass". That one's about an escalating military crisis in the gulf region that triggers a nuclear shootout. It was on HBO when I was in my early teens. Well, someday I'll spot it.

You, Mr Neville, are the refuse of the past. You are discarded!

I have been wondering about this film for YEARS! Thank you so much for having this stream!! The ending just floored me, I was frozen with shock, pretty silly for such a movie I know. Now that I'm older, I'd like to watch it again as I might understand it better. You guys ROCK!

Can't believe I stumbled into this forum. When I was in middle school I remembered an asteroid movie told by a fake news approach. Then I also remembered another fake news about something to do with a Mars Landing. After hitting google I cam here. I barely remembered "GNN" and found this in the search results simply by guessing the years to be somewhere in the mid 90's. After finding this one, to my surprise someone posted a comment saying "Remember an earlier one about an asteroid??".

Boo-Yah! Thanks for asking about it. The responses from soylentgreen-1 led me to solving the Mystery of the names. Further xflbat showed the way to Veho.

Just go to:
http://www.veoh.com/userVideos.html?username=marvistamovies

Install the free player and enjoy. They have both movies there, which appear to be VHS rips, but very watchable. Without Warning is also on DVD at amazon.

Anyone suggest some similar crap-tastic movies?

Thanks for helping to put together some really old fragmented memories.

Is it just me, or did the 90's have some good cheap sci-fi?

Veoh is pretty much dead. Their client is broken & no one in the know at their forum seems to be interested in explaining how to make it work. Another location for this movie would be greatly appreciated, if anyone finds one.
