Has it been 10 years?

I saw this the first time it was on. I don't remember much of it cause it was pretty unwatchable and I was flipping channels quite a bit. I did happen to catch the end though and it creeped me out and stayed with me for 10 years if you can beleive. I couldn't even remember the name of the movie when I decided to search for comments on what happened at the end so I had to look up Alfre Woodard - I think the biggest name on the cast and the only one I could remember.

The other thing I remember was that the movie was showing against something they knew they couldn't compete against and it seemed like they weren't going to try. Like the Superbowl or something - but it couldn't have been the Superbowl. But whatever it was I had no interest in it. But I didn't have cable and Journey to Mars was the best thing on. I did not have internet - was there internet in '96? And I had have passive entertainment.
