This is basically a live action Simpsons movie

I can't be the only one who sees this, right? Something about the style of the humour, the over-the-top characters and the occasionally surreal nature of it (the angry reindeer, the parcel bomb and the entire last act), watching this movie just felt like watching a mid-90s Simpsons episode (specifically seasons 4-6) but with live actors instead of animation. Like I could seriously see many of the scenes in this movie working just fine in an episode of that show. Even some of the dialogue felt Simpsons-esque which made me think that perhaps someone from the Simpsons worked on this film but it doesn't seem to be the case, besides Phil Hartman obviously (maybe he threw some ideas around).
