If this is Police Story 4 where is Maggie Cheung? I feel she could have at least gotten a cameo. She was one of the highights of the first 3 films. I liked part 4, but felt it was missing the heart. I wish they could have gotten married in 4 after all she went through in the other films.

I'm hoping Chan dusts off the series and does one more movie, mabye with him finally agreeing to his Uncles wishes and taking a desk job at the end and marrying May.

It would be great if they wrapped it up with a bow, rather then ending with First Strike. It is a deserving series.

It's too bad :( I also missed Maggie. But she has stopped acting (she is willing to do some cameos here and there, but she doesn't want to do the big acting parts anymore) and the man who plays Uncle Bill (Bill Tung) has sadly passed away a year ago :(

In Police Story 5 (aka New Police Story) May is still no where to be seen and Jackie gets engaged to a different woman. Also, I don't think NPS will be the end, becasue on the Dragon Dynasty Police Story 2 DVD release, Brett Ratner mentions that Jackie Chan asked him to direct Police Story 6.

Anyway, if you haven't seen New Police Story yet, you can get it for like $10 pretty much anywhere, it was released by Lionsgate in the USA, and the english dubbing (if thats how you watch it) features Jackie Chan as his own voice. Its the best one since PS2, imo, so you all will likely enjoy it.

New Police Story is not Police Story 5. In Police Story 1-4 his Character is Ka Kui. In New Police Story he played a character named Kwok-Wing.
One may argue, that he reprises his role in Crime Story. Although his character has a different name, he is basicly the same as in Police Story.

If New Police Story is considered a part of the series, it logical to assume that the woman that Jackie is engaged to in New Police Story is suppose to be May.

May probably left him because she grew tired of getting beaten up and/or kidnapped thanks to his job, not to mention they were together for about 7 years and still never got married.

lol so true. It's fun applying normal relationship logic to movies. Or as I like to call it, the Jack Bauer relationship effect

also new police story was made after..uh..i think it was his father or mother that died.. + that woman that he had an affair with..who was also an actor... she died too.. and you can see how that movie is ALOT darker than his usual work...
there was a couple of years there where he made very dark movies...
