According to IMDB the US version is shorter (88 minutes). Is there a way to get the movie uncut (preferably with everything in it's original language, neither the English or the Cantonese dubbed) here in North America? I've been trying for some time but everything I can find is the US version. Thanks

shareActually the best version to get is the region 2 Japanese release. It's in the original Cantonese/English/Mandarin/Russian sync sound and uncut. It doesn't have English subs though. The plot's easy enough to follow if you've seen the cut release. The Taiwanese dvd is bad because it's completely dubbed into Mandarin, the subtitles are burnt into the picture and the transfer is poor. The region 3 release is the same cut version with the Cantonese soundtrack abridged to fit it. There's also an uncut vcd which is lesser quality and hard to find.

ended up downloading it as its imosible to find overall a much better cut of the film my only complaint was the score the original Chinese score is awful and really repetitive and made me wanna fall asleep
