Why is Ka-Kui now suddenly being called Jackie?
Note: There is a chance my subtitles are bad, but in the beginning of the film (I haven't watched the whole film yet, someone says "*something*, Jackie" and the subtitles say "Thank you, Jackie", so I suppose it's not the subtitles.
This is the 4th Police Story movie, the Western (USA) dubbed version always refered to Jackie's character as Jackie, that's right Officer Jackie Chan. It's pretty stupid I guess New Line went along with this when the co-produced this film so Jackie was now the name used by the English speaking actors in the film and so to keep continuety the subtitles too. Infact most peopel wouldn't even know this was a sequel as most of Jackies dubbed films he was given the name Jackie. So lazy. I mean imagine if China did that with Hollwood films? Could you imagine Bruce Willis being called Lt. B. Willis in Die Hard? Or even the 3rd film simply being called 'Bruce Willis with a Vengeance'?

As stupid as it is (like all of the dubbing), you just have to roll with it. This is one exciting movie nonetheless.
