I did not like this version whatsoever.

So many key moments and dialogues left out, there was no passion or chemistry between Jane and Rochester, and nothing about Rochester appeared brooding or dark. He was rather odd.

Everything about this adaptation was completely off.

Ive seen all versions now, and its safe to conclude that 2011 version with Mia W. and Michael F is the most superior.

I agree with everything you say about this version and it was also downright silly in the rushed ending for Jane to find, on her return, Mrs Fairfax, Pilate and Rochester living in the ruined pile as if nothing had changed.

Hmmm, I agree about the chemistry, and William Hurt was miscast, but there are some good parts on this film. Not my favorite, but I like the soundtrack, Jane's childhood, Charlotte Gainsbourg's acting is not that bad and I love this version's Adèle - though now my favorite is the 2011 Adèle.

Please, forgive my English, I'm (slowly) trying to improve it

I saw this version shortly after it came out and remember thinking it was okay then. I recently saw the 1983 version and Timothy Dalton, while far too handsome for the role, had the character of Rochester exactly. It was so passionate that I didn't doubt for a moment that Jane fell for him, despite all his oddities and flaws.

Then I watched this version again and while it obviously had a bigger budget, the passion and chemistry was not there. It's definitely not a favorite or even close.

I always thought of this variation of Jane Eyre as a more grown up version of the story which though always fun to read is a young girl's story of romance, fantasy, soapy drama, and a a bit of horror.
Oh, it is still lushly soapy but it is a story of two people damaged by their circumstances who find a home with each other. William Hurt plays an unhappy person, uncomfortable with the world who feels happiness is beyond his reach. In company his tired jokes are a little flat, but his acquaintances chuckle.
I love this one.
