Finally watched and it was not that great

So many people have written already it is redundant, but I have to express my thoughts.
I thought the scenes when Jane was a child were great. They showed different characters in many lights-loving, hypocritical, stoic, stubborn, angelic, warm. And then boom Jane becomes adult and everything is downhill. I loved the expressions of the actress and thought she did a good job delivering her lines as an intelligent Jane would be but other than that she was so dispassionate the WHOLE TIME! Whether it was professing love or scolding Mr. Rochester for not loving the child. It was all too monotonous. She could have remained a stoic Jane while still conveying some emotions. Her line that she is a human being with feelings should have had more impact. The love story is totally unconvincing. The script is so bad, the dialogues just dull, not even a scene where they glance at each other with quiet attraction and i'm supposed to believe Rochester's proposal? The whole time he was mean, gruff, boring and even when he tries to tease Jane, he just looks like a jerk rather than someone amused by Jane's difference.

Yes.

I liked the actress fine (although she confused Jane's temperament with being dull) but William Hurt was TERRIBLE. Nobody had any passion.
