I don't know why in the world Disney made a movie out of James And The Giant Peach but I first heard about this movie when at the same time my school was doing a class play on James And The Giant Peach and I thought it was weird until my teacher told me about it. I read James And The Giant Peach twice and it's so shocking that Disney destroyed a Roald Dahl classic and Disney should've done something better and I am surprised that it's the top movie on Disney+. And no we didn't sing any of the songs from the movie in our class play but my class play of James And The Giant Peach was so much better than the movie
shareI'm sorry though I like the book I do like the movie too. Though it helps that I saw it at age 10. My 2nd grade teacher a few years before had read us the book at school. Frankly some of the more graphic stuff from the book might not be able to be shown in a kids movie. Like Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker getting squished by the peach and all the bugs singing about how great it is that they're dead. Heck, that'd be even more out there in today's world. Frankly though that is a problem I have with some Roald Dohl's books since without Music notes there's no way to know how to sing those songs.
