Things Implied

I thought I read a question about this on the board, but I guess it was a comment in a review. Someone thought the issue of what Jack was selling for $500 a night wasn't resolved once we learned he didn't have a cabin to rent out. I think it was pretty obvious that he was selling videos of the rapes Pat and Alex were committing. Maybe even allowing the person to come along to watch the actual event ($500 for a night) with a video to relive it. Just as the other woman said, she didn't "press charges" (in real life that's not her choice, actually) because no one would believe her once they found out she was a lesbian. There were probably many women who were able to take themselves home who just never told anyone the truth for the same or in part the same reason, along with the "acquaintance rape" factor. Plus, if the others knew they were being filmed they probably wanted to keep it quiet just to make it go away.

As far as the father calling her, the scene was underdeveloped, but it made sense. They found her secret and used it to intimidate her. Nasty tactics by nasty people. And people who have parents like her father (and maybe there was abuse from him) often have poor boundaries, which would make them "good" victims for people like Jack, Pat, and Alex. They just needed to expand on that part more, but didn't. I certainly didn't laugh at the scene, though, as asked in another thread.
