i just found out, too! i thought comcast on demand had an error in their listing but then i looked it up and it was RIGHT! at least i like the movie ^^;;

well maybe he's simply no more the person he was in the past.
maybe he has been content to merely rest on his laurels and reputation and crank out safe, formulaic films that lack any real substance or passion, or Perhaps Coppola is tired from the numerous battles he has had with Hollywood studios over the years and simply does not have the energy to make the daringly ambitious films that he made during the '70s and early '80s.

He did do this for financial reasons. It was a string of film he did to free himself from his finance problem. The Godfather Part 3 was one of these. He talks about this in the directors commentary in the new Blu Ray release of the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula, which is a pretty good movie considering that it was one of the movies he did because of the financial reasons, actually really good.

Fair enough, even the most artistic directors have gotta eat. But still, a man of his reputation and talent... could he not find a better script out there?! Jack is one of the worst scripts I ever watched.
Let's just hope when Coppola runs into financial problems again he doesn't make Baby Geniuses 3.
He directed a little movie called "One From the Heart" that was mostly made with money from his own studio. It cost $26,000,000.00 but only made about $636,796.00 so needless to say he'd acquired quite a large debt.

COppola directed a lot of different movies. he wasnt set on a single style. you shoudl watch more of his movies, you wouldnt believe how bad some are.

yes. it is good film. coppolla bring quality to this film that other hack director would not!
