20 years ago today.

This was released in theaters exactly years ago today (August 23, 1996).

I loved it as a kid and have grown to appreciate it more and more into my adulthood. I think it's one of the best films of the 90's and one of my favorite movies in general.

Interesting themes, great cast, beautiful music score and cinematography, some of the best prosthetic effects work of that era... There are many things I love about this film and all the trouble behind the scenes only made for an even more fascinating production.

I prefer this to most modern summer blockbusters.
