Movie is whacked Brando is hilarious

I been putting this off for about 20 years but because they made a 90 minute recent documentary on this thing I had to watch it... It's just Brando being funny. Kind of like how I would like to remember him.

Kilmer's Brando was hilarious they apparently hated each other that was how he got back at him, unlike Depp who kisses everyone's ass.

I thought this movie actually managed to be good in spite of its production nightmare but I have to admit, it does also manage to be a really funny movie. The best bit of trivia is...Brando WANTED to look like that. His daughter killed herself and one of his islands blew up on the first day of shooting. How does the world's greatest actor react? By asking to choose what he looks like and deciding that the Grandma/Pope hybrid suits.

His first scene caused uninhibited laughter all around (and including) me and from there things just got better/worse depending on whether you thought the film was some sort of weird SF spoof or not. IMO ... truly and utterly bizarre!🐭

The best part is when Val Kilmer goes crazy and starts impersonating him. That was a scene that I just laughed my ass off at!

He did such a great job because he really did hate him and was not just his character mocking Brando's character, it was Kilmer mocking Brando as well.

From what I heard, Kilmer was basically his normal egotistical self. He was reportedly so bad, when Frankenheimer did Kilmer's last shot, he reportedly said "Done, now get that bastard off my set."

You know, why has no one ever done a movie about the making of this movie? It'd be amazing!

Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau (2015). It's on Hulu.

Same here, and I'll always think of 'The Missouri Breaks' as well. Hilarious!
