French song from black + white short (NOT Bonnie + Clyde)?

Does anyone have information on the song that was played on the soundtrack of the short black & white film that was shown at the house party just prior to the dinner scene? The vocalist was female, in the Francoise Hardy, 60-ish vein. It was prior to the playing of Luna's cover of "Bonnie & Clyde" and the other two songs listed in the music credits to Irma Vep on imdb (Sonic Youth and Ali F. Toure).

I am trying to find out who the singer is... any help would be greatly appreciated!

That song wasn't French but Spanish, probably Latin American.
And the singer sounded more like a "he" than a "she". Victor Jara, maybe? Don't know. But I'm sure the words were in Spanish.

The song is indeed in spanish, and it's also latin american. It's "La era está pariendo un corazón" by the famous cuban singer Silvio Rodríguez. I'm not so sure about if it's sang by Silvio Rodríguez itself, it might well be a very old recording.
