How did the Lander get into the lsb.

When Dr Montgomery and Dr Scott lock themselves in the lab early on in the movie and Colonel Pratt asks Sergeant Lopez if the hallway door is the only way into the lab he replies "yes.

If that is the case how did they get the Lander into the lab in the first place? The Lander is quite large and the door is normal size.
