What happened after they found him not guilty? Did they ever catch the killer?

No they didn't! They could have and still can if they really wanted to. The person that sent the post cards has the same letters in his name as a guy that "lived up the street" that was covered in scratches and bruises after the murders. They know who that person is. All they have to do it DNA and they have him.

Yes, they did. DNA evidence proved Hennis was guilty, and the military court convicted him.

Hennis did it. They finally tested the evidence for DNA because in the 80s DNA testing was not available and the DNA linked back to Hennis. He was convicted in military court and sentenced to death.
