Who says the Special Effects in this sucks!

Bad ass fuck. Some say they were dated. I dont think so. Have a great time watching this.
The new ones feel like a video game. This felt more real.

I thought the effects were pretty good AND there were real mock-ups of the aliens etc.

The film feels kinda real. I like it

Yea i much prefer the puppets over the cgi anyday.

Its no coincidence the sequel didnt live up to it.

Not terrible EXCEPT for the scene that the dog does his huge jump away from the wave of fire! I laugh every time!

Funny people complain about the special effects being bad when it won best special effects at the Oscars the following year after it was released. It was well deserved.

I much prefer this than any garbage out today.

It actually look real, and I love the puppets and the combination with the people with real settings. Not that cgi crap!
